Pre Menopause Symptoms

Literally, pre-menopause refers to the years leading up to last period ever. This is actually a condition when a woman begins the process of going into a stable state of menstrual cessation.

The average age for women to go into full blown menopause is between 38 and 52, from then on she can begin to experience pre-menopause symptoms. But sometimes it happens as early as age 35. After which, women then on experience so many awful symptoms.

Usually, women with pre menopause symptoms have unpredictable periods for up to eight years before they finally stop. Gradual changes in the body would be very eminent during pre-menopause years. For some women, this time of change will take just a few years but on average, a woman can anticipate to be in pre-menopause for 10 years!

Also, some women have slight pre-menopause symptoms and do not seem to mind the many awkward feelings that come along with this change while other women have a hard time.
Pre Menopause Symptoms

Most of the time pre-menopause symptoms is very hard to deal with. In fact, it can affect almost all your day-to-day activities, thus leading you to an unusual life. Some possible symptoms of pre-menopause are:

  • Physical symptoms – are the most noticeable. Symptoms include: hot flashes, night sweats, coldness, dizziness, irregular periods (that can be heavy, light, shorter or longer cycles), dry skin and/or hair loss, vaginal dryness and bleeding, itching, watery discharge, urinary incontinence, osteoporosis, and muscle pains.
  • Psychological symptoms – one of the toughest symptoms because the body is undergoing so many changes that have to do with hormonal levels that are fluctuating, and so the mind is also affected. In fact, about 60% of all women going through pre-menopause symptoms say that the mental aspect is the most complicated. During this time, the woman will frequently feel a sense of lack of concentration, anxiety, nervousness, fatigue, depression, and frustration.
  • Emotional symptoms – are sometimes the most ignored because the symptoms included are most of the time a normal feeling. Symptoms include: mood swings, irritability, sudden tears and feelings of dread, apprehension and doom.

Pre-Menopause Symptoms Relief

At present, Hormone Replacement Therapy is still the most approved treatment for easing menopause symptoms, even though many women are converting to natural ways. Whatever ways you find is actually okay as long as your body will react and gradually eliminates your discomforts, because in fact up to now there is still no precise cure for menopause symptoms.

Moreover, always remember that hormone imbalance causes pre-menopause and menopause symptoms! And so in order to ease your discomforts and awkward feelings, get to examine first, before anything else, all your symptoms and try to seek medical help to know if your hormone levels are still on the right track.
